Cap Horn sits in one of Nyhavn’s oldest buildings – full of character, creaking floors and candlelight that sets the scene for an evening to remember. On New Year’s Eve, the restaurant is alive with warmth, laughter and the glow from the canal outside – the perfect setting for the final dinner of the year.

Our New Year’s menu brings together everything Cap Horn is known for: quality ingredients, honest craftsmanship and a cosy, informal atmosphere. The four-course dinner blends timeless flavours with a fresh touch – ideal for an evening that feels both effortless and special.
We are open for reservations from 6:00 p.m., and the restaurant closes at 11:30 p.m. – giving you plenty of time to enjoy the meal, the wine and the atmosphere before heading out into the city to welcome the new year.

To complement your dinner we have carefully selected a wine menu to match each dish – from the creamy lobster soup to the tender beef fillet. You can also explore Cap Horn’s wine and drinks menu, featuring everything from aperitif and champagne to familiar wine favourites and a few surprises.
As the evening draws to a close, we offer champagne and homemade kransekage (marzipan cake) “to go”, so you can bring the celebration with you. Enjoy a toast by the Nyhavn canal, along the harbourfront, or at Kongens Nytorv – all just steps away – as you raise your glass and watch the fireworks light up the Nyhavn sky.
