At Cap Horn in Nyhavn, we offer a truly unique setting for your Christmas lunch or dinner – ideal for colleagues, teams, or any group looking to celebrate the season in charming, historic surroundings.

Timeless Christmas dishes with a modern twist

Christmas at Cap Horn is something truly special. We combine the best of the traditional Danish Christmas table with modern gastronomy and seasonal, high-quality ingredients. Our cozy interiors, open fireplace, and vibrant Nyhavn atmosphere create an unforgettable backdrop for your holiday gathering. We can accommodate up to 60 guests in the main restaurant and have a private dining room available for up to 50 guests.

Whether you're 8 or 60 guests, we have the space, the food, and the festive spirit to create an evening to remember. We offer two different packages:

• Private Christmas party in your own space with the option to add a DJ – available every Friday and Saturday from 14 November 2025.

• Shared Christmas parties, where you dine privately with your group and then join other guests for a festive evening of music, dancing, and fun.
  The shared events take place only on Friday 14 and 21 November 2025.

Christmas Menu 2025

Whether you choose a private Christmas dinner or join one of our shared festive evenings, the dining experience remains the same. We serve a warm and atmospheric three-course Christmas menu, filled with everything we love about the season.

CAP HORN’S 3-COURSE CHRISTMAS MENU

Welcome
A welcome drink with aperitif and snacks.

Starter
Curry herring with pickled onions, mustard seeds, and burnt egg

Main Course
Duck leg confit
Red cabbage salad
Duck sauce
Potato compote

Dessert
Risalamande (rice pudding) with chopped roasted almonds and warm cherry sauce

We also offer a vegetarian Christmas menu.

Christmas Party — private event

For those who want the evening to themselves – available to book every Friday and Saturday from 14 November 2025.

Price: 1,600 kr. pr. person 

We offer a complete evening with a welcome drink and snacks, a 3-course Christmas menu, wine and beer, an open bar, and the option to add a DJ until 2:00 AM. Look forward to a full evening of Christmas cheer starting at 7:30 PM:

• Welcome aperitif and snacks

• 3-course Christmas menu

• Drinks during dinner
  Draft beer, selected wines, soft drinks, coffee, and still or sparkling water – ad libitum during the dinner for 2 hours.

• Open Bar from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM
  Draft beer, selected wines, selected drinks (G&T, R&C, V&J), soft drinks, and still or sparkling water.

Homemade Aquavit
Our own homemade Christmas schnapps – a tradition spanning half a century.
Price: 1,100 kr. per bottle

Christmas party — shared celebration

For those who want to combine a private dinner with a shared party – only available to book on Friday 14 and 21 November 2025.

Price: DKK 1,800 per person

Enjoy dinner at your own table and end the evening with a DJ, dance floor, and a festive atmosphere together with other cheerful guests. Look forward to a full evening of Christmas cheer starting at 7:30 PM:

• Welcome aperitif and snacks

• 3-course Christmas menu

• Drinks during dinner
  Draft beer, selected wines, soft drinks, coffee, and still or sparkling water – ad libitum during the dinner for 2 hours.

• Open Bar from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM
