At Cap Horn in Nyhavn, we celebrate your big day in Fredsfondens Hus — one of the canal's oldest buildings from 1687, once frequented by artists, jazz musicians and resistance fighters. Today, the warm and characterful rooms provide the setting for weddings where good food and togetherness take centre stage.

A complete wedding package

We've put together a package that includes everything you need for an unforgettable wedding reception. Price: 1,695 DKK per person.

The celebration begins with a glass of champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling wine and small lobster croquettes, before guests are seated for a classic 3-course wedding menu. Drinks flow freely for 5 hours, and our dedicated host ensures everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

• Private dining room

• Professional table setting with white tablecloths, cloth napkins and candlelight

• Gift table

• Dedicated host for the evening

• Coordination with toastmaster and suppliers

Add-ons for your wedding package

If you'd like to personalise the day further, we're happy to help with the following:

• Wedding cake: price on request

• Flowers: 350 DKK per bouquet

• Music and DJ: price on request

• After dinner drinks: 250 DKK per person (1 hour with selected drinks)

• Extra hour of drinks: from 250 DKK per person

Spaces for your wedding reception

At Cap Horn we can host weddings of many sizes. For larger celebrations, our private first floor room seats up to 51 guests in complete privacy. If you'd like to welcome guests with a drink in hand, our sun-facing terrace overlooking Nyhavn is the perfect spot for a reception before dinner.

• First floor — private dining room: seats up to 51 guests

• Ground floor: seats up to 70 guests (across 2 sections, open to other diners unless the whole restaurant is booked)

• Nyhavn terrace: available for a welcome reception with views over the canal

Please note:

• The wedding package is available for a minimum of 20 guests and must be booked at least 5 working days before the event.

• The same menu must be chosen for all guests, unless there are vegetarians, allergies, or other special dietary requirements in the party.

• We reserve the right to change menus according to available deliveries.

• We will always seat parties and groups together. In the case of large groups, seating may take place at more than one table. We will do our best to accommodate special requests, but we cannot guarantee specific seating areas in advance.

• For parties of 10 guests or more, we kindly ask that payment is made as a single transaction for the entire group. We are not able to process individual payments for larger groups, as this helps ensure a smooth experience for both your party and our other guests.

• Please note that a fee will be charged for payments made with corporate cards or cards issued outside the EU/EEA.
